PRIMO
CONTI'S MUSEUM
The Museo di Primo Conti, located in the Villa le Coste,
was opened to the public in 1987. It contains more than
sixty oil-paintings and more than one hundred
and fifty drawings by the Florentine artist Primo
Conti (1911-1985).
The first floor of the Villa houses the Conti archives
which include thousands of documents (letters, manuscripts
and first editions) relating to futurism, dadaism and
surrealism.
The museum and the archives represent a centre unique
in Italy for the study of the avant garde.
