MUSEUM
OF CONTEMPORARY ART LUIGI PECCI
The
Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci was
designed by the modern architect Italo Gamberini.
Since opening in 1988, it has become known for its exhibits
of the best of contemporary Italian and foreign art.
The Centro has ten exhibition halls, rooms for educational
activities, an auditorium, an atrium and an amphitheatre.
A small building attached to the complex is devoted to
graphic arts and contains a museum library linked to online
data banks throughout the world.
Besides exhibitions, the museum organizes theatrical performances,
multimedia events and concerts. The permanent collection
includes works of contemporary Italian and foreign artists.
